The excuse is so sounds can be muted, but the app refuses to run without it. Is this so critical that your developers can't work around this or are they just lazy? Despite repeated requests and nonsensical advice to the contrary, rail / tube stations are still not available on any map. Very poor for a travel app.Update in response to reply. point 1 permissions ARE excessive and not required on previous versions, and shouldn't prevent app from starting.
